About the Annual Corvette Lottery

The Club's annual Corvette lottery occurs in August and is licensed through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The main the winner of the lottery is awarded a Chevrolet Corvette which rolls off the production line only a few months before the lottery. Several subsidary prizes (such as $1,000 cash or trips for two to the Caribbean or home entertainment packages) have been awarded as part of past lotteries.

This lottery typically sells out. It is extremely popular (and typically a sell-out) because: 1. The charitable causes to which the profits can be directed are limited to ones that are extremely important to the local community; 2. The main prize is extremely new, beautiful and valuable; 3. The number of tickets sold are limited which produces odds of winning that are significantly better than most other lotteries that offer similarly priced tickets on a equally valued prize. Only 1,400 tickets were available in the 2009 lottery.
