A Night at the Luxor was the theme for the 2007 Rotary Charity Gala

The Club's annual Rotary Charity Gala is the social event of the year in Wasaga Beach.

A formal affair, the Rotary Charity Gala combines fine dining, excellent entertainment, impressive live and silent auctions, and a guest list straight out of the local Who's Who directory to create an amazing evening for all.

Funds raised through this event are directed towards Rotary's world-wide Polio Eradication Initiative, international youth exchange programs and numerous community service projects.

The 17th annual Rotary Charity Gala will occur on Saturday November 7, 2009 at the Country Club, Wasaga Country Life Estates. Net proceeds are used to support the Rotary Club's  local and international projects.

The theme for the 2009 gala is Chocolate Decadence - A Taste of Europe. The menu features a sampling of the pleasures, tastes and smells of Franch, Italian and Spanish cuisine. Entertainment includes a comedy by the Out of Line Sketch & Improv Comedy Troupe, a tribute to Moulin Rouge (France), Flamenco Dancer Claudia Aguirre (Spain) and Kitchener Opera singer Emelio Fina (Italy). The live auction features accomodations for as many as nine persons for seven days at La Grange, a quaint chateau located in Vers Pont du Gard in the south of France. You'll be amazed with the quality and extent of the silent auction, the decadence of the venue, and the sounds of dance band Double Exposure.
